Hey guys I am back. Thanks for all the comments and support. I thought the computer lose was a struggle but not anything like your eye sight. Vision is like air, You don't really miss it until you do without it. It's been so long I had to reread this to catch up. ;D Since my last update I have got the 5 point done, roll cage finished (except for the paint touch up), Steering wheel finished, MSD and delay box wired so here's what It looks like. Steering wheel I drilled out the holes to add that little touch. [imghttp://images116.fotki.com/v716/photos/5/280185/8599973/100_3686-vi.jpg][/img] Finished 5 point with head rest installed. Boxes wired and installed onto roll cage. I used different color 28 guage craft wire to add some color to the mostly dull aluminum interior. Here is that side of the cage installed and the wiring done. A couple shots of the finished cage. I still need to make a support bar from the steering column to the front bar. The clock spring is 34 gauge craft wire wound around a .015 drill bit and painted flat black. I am not sure this will be the final one. The black seems to get lost in the interior. I am thinking about making another and painting it with Dulpi-color anodized Red. This will give you the idea either way. So now it is on to the steering and wiring the radio. I will update again soon no more long delays. Really I want to move on to other builds. I just can't leave something unfinished. Thanks for looking in. All comments and input are welcome. See ya soon.

I want firstly say thanks to everyone that followed along and gave comments, advice and support through this build. Second I want to say "Ding Dong the Merc is done". To paraphrase the Munchkins. It is sitting in the photo booth now letting the touch up paint and last of the glue dry. I want to show the last of the build here then on to a New Model Announcement. That Will come later today or tomorrow. Started by wiring the radio with black 28 gauge craft wire. Then I ran the lines for Fuel and the NOS system into my homemade regulator. With the batteries and NOS bottles added it looked like this. Next it was finish the interior. Tach, clock spring and shifter handles added. Headers, fuel lines and NOS lines hooked up to engine. Drag chutes and it's a done deal. Again I want to thank you guys for all the help. Also for letting me ramble on with this build. It was a great learning experience for me, lot's of firsts. First resin body, first Hose of Kolor paint, first Krylon Crystal Clear clear coat (great stuff I am hooked on it)The next build will be a lot less complicated for sure. The neat Pro Mod will be a lot easier. I already have one planned. Just a glutton for punishment I guess. LOL see ya at the New Model Announcement.

Buck...you did it bud...you are the first one to finish their 49 Merc. That build really came out Great!! Now...I'm starting to get that "shameful" feeling that one gets when they don't complete a project. LOL This build has been really fun and cool to watch you complete. Thank you for letting us into your work shop.
