I picked this up at the Albany model show. I have had a few ideas for one of these and got started on it today. I had a stepside bed from a 1990's style chevy, cut those fenders off and molded the '50 rear fenders onto the bed. I got one side done and letting the bondo set. Other things that will get done is the top will get chopped slightly and I might even try to take a small section out of the cab and hood. Thanks for Looking, Dave

The section looks great Dave, can't wait to see how the chop goes. I started a chop/section of the '50 Chevy pickup when it first came out back in '95. Never finished it and now have no idea where it ended up. Keep going it's coming together nicely.

That's really looking good Bud!!! You sure didn't waste any time getting started on this one. Can't wait to see the roof after you chop it...

The chop looks great Dave, it's well in proportion to the section, it's coming together nicely.
As for moving I think I'd rather smash my fingers in a car door the pack to move. That has to the worst thing in the world to do. Good Luck

Thank goodness we have a lease that we can enforce both ways. Keep us posted on how the move goes.

Well got all moved in, just have to set up a new spray booth. I have done a little here and there on the bed on the Chevy and finally got it done, except paint. I made a rear roll pan for it using a piece of evergreen tubing, made taillight surrounds and using the custom taillights from the AMT 59 Elcamino. And finally using Dave's idea of using the cedar from a cigar box (Thanks Dave) i cut the bed floor out and used the cedar to make a real wood bed. And noe for the pics (hopefully) Dave

Man Dave....this build is really coming together. I like the tail light thing you did..looks great. I think that the Aluminum strips will look great on that bed also....
