Thank you Bruce Here are a few progress shots. The Flame pattern was drawn onto paper and then cut out and transferred to tape on the hood. I shot the white flames with flat white. Then went back and shot two or three coats of color to push the flames back a little. The hood has been rubbed out and will get at least two coats of clear...along with the rest of the body.

Here's a small update....I put the hood in the stripper tank. Looking at the hood real close revealed that I rubbed a little to much out and it took to much white flame on the two raised parts. Sooo...It's scrubb time and repaint for the hood.

Here's a few pics of some progress. The hood was stripped and re-primed. putty was put on the nose as there where a few scratches that were pretty deep that I hadn't noticed before. Sanded the putty and while doing that...the hood hinge tube fell off in my hand...LOL I broke out the 5 min. epoxy and glued it back in place and that's where it is now....waiting for that to dry and then it will be primed and then shot with the blue. Thanks for looking in folks....

That's a good looking hood. Thanks for the info Bruce
Here's some progress pics of ALL the re-do area's. The hood and (trunk lid...found dirt on the bottom in the paint..) have been re-shot with the blue. They look good to this point. Need to be rubbed out and they're finished. The rear body area between the window and trunk lid needed fixed also...It's in primer now and waiting for it to gas out and then sand. The Blue will be shot on it tonight...Thanks for looking in folks... HOOD and Trunk lid...
The back....

LOL...I think that's a good WOW...right? LOL Thanks Bruce..
This puppy is just about finished. ALL the photo etch scripts are on. The front bumper is mounted. The only things that are left to do is the flames on the hood and mount the licence plates. All should be finished tomorrow, depending on how the flames turn out... I'll post finished pics in a few days...
