Take it easy Briz. This truck is awesome and well worth waiting for! Mostly I'm annoyed, because I plan a nice day to dedicate a this truck, but... I had to abandon the idea, also because it hurts! Oh well... Here the damage. I photoshoped the blood so it is not scary...

Man Fabrizio.....That's a pretty big cut!! Looks like it might need a few pieces of thread to help it heal. A person could also use butterfly bandages. Take'er easy my friend.

I think Gary is right about the stiches or at least some super glue or something.

I'm using some big bandage, and looks that it is healing... If not I will go for some stitches...

I made a few progress... My hand is back to normal... Here some work on the cab. A test fitting of the cab, fenders and bumper. Chassis done, and test fitting with the tires. Start the motor.

Man Brizio...You still do some mighty fine work...hurt hand or not. That cab is really looking good . Is the chassis fabbed from paper also? What kind of engine is that going to be? Great work...

Thank you Gary! The chassis is half and half, like the milk... ;D ;D ;D Some parts on the chassis are plastic and other paper, the plastic parts came from my part box. The engine is a 5 cylinder diesel, I don't want spend too much time on it, because this truck has a "hood" inside the cab, that I will glue it to the floor. The only way to look a this engine will be from the bottom, and a engine from the bottom is not the best thing to look, above from a old diesel truck... ;D

Thank you Dave! Will see... To hard to say it now... But for sure is a important piece of my childhood... I tell you little bit about this Fiat 643N Macchi... When I was little, I spent (with my brother) a lot of time in the fire station where my dad worked. Was a lot of fun playing around on those big trucks, from the fire engine trucks, crane truck to our favorite ladder truck. It was fun, climbing it, pretend to drive this truck with a huge steering wheels... ;D The top point arrived when I was 12, I rode my bicycle to the fire station, for say "Hi" to my dad, and he was happy to see me (because he had a "evil" plan for me) ;D ;D ;D. He was training some new firefighter on how to climb using ropes, and other stuff, using this old ladder truck. The ladder was fully extended 98 feet, ca. (30meters). He knew that I had fear of dizziness, and I would not climb it... But he "invite" me to climb the fire tuck... I think we spent a good 5 minutes say yes and no, but a the end, my dad told me that from the top of the ladder there was a wonderful view, so I climb it. ;D He was right, a 360 wonderful view from there, and after that I did not had fear of dizziness anymore! Here the truck... This picture was toke before the truck was retired for its service. After the years for new safety laws, they replaced the side doors (like the one below) with those that open vertically. They add other decals on the rear part of the body. Here the old kind of doors, and no side decals...

Awesome stuff Fabrizio, love the Ladder Truck, having been a volunteer firefighter your dad was 100% correct the view from the top of a fully extended ladder is amazing.
