This is a project that I don't know why I start it... Anyway, it is a old Lancia truck made in Italy in the 40'S... The scale is 1/24... For now I have the chassis...

This is a very cool project Brizio. I'm still trying to get the shape of the vehicle in my mind. Is this a WWII troop transport truck? Your craftsmanship is A1 my friend. It's a joy to watch your projects come together.

It's a joy to watch your projects come together. Hey Gary! This was a WWII armored truck, they made only a few of them. Soon, I hope I think to start to build the diesel engine. Here, I forgot before to post a picture of it. It is one of the three pics you can find on internet. But thanks to a friend/old cars/WWII stuff collector, I was able to have some super rare pics of it. Where now I'm able to build the interior like it was. Because there is a model kit of it in 1/72, but it is empty inside... So here the real one...

I forgot also that this picture is from the end of April-first days of May in 1945 toke in Milan. This truck for a wile had Mussolini, his girlfriend, and some important military in it, when he was trying to escape in Switzerland followed by a small convoy of trucks and car, with Germans a lot were injured from the war. On April 27th, when they arrived in Musso (Italy) the partisan blocked the road, and were able to capture and after sexually abuse/kill Mussolini and his girlfriend.
There is also a few mysteries also around this... Because Mussolini was carrying with him 5 suitcase with very important documents, above all the letters that he wrote to Churchill, that they were planning to stop Hitler. Why the partisan killed him and didn't treat him as prisoner of war and give to the US Army, for have a process... Why Churchill after Mussolini's death came in "Vacation" close to Musso???
Those are mysteries, that for some reasons they are keep mysteries...
