Hi everyone thought I would let you know what I have been up to model wise since the 49 Merc.
This Riveria was my lab rat. After the paint problem with the Merc I wanted to make sure I had it right so painted this HOK Candy Green to make sure. I had given the engine away from this kit so it was a test bed.
Then I heard about Krylon Crystal Clear and how gentle it is on decals and wanted to try it out. So back to the test car. The decal thing went smooth so I BMF'ed the body and cleared the whole thing.

The n I got to thinking that's not a half bad looking old cruiser. Maybe I will finish it up. So I built a Ross Gibson Tuneport 502 with the 200-4R transmission for it. This one.
I figured that a big block Chevy in a Riveria was a natural. Well it wouldn't fit. I probably could have made it fit but just wasn't up to it. I was still licking my wounds from the Merc and didn't want anything that wasn't simple.
So I dug around in my junk yard and found this LS-7 Corvette engine. It was in a collection I bought out of Canada so I thought let's try this.
It fit pretty well, so I took the top half off and changed the colors. Painted the intake Dull Aluminum like a Weiand intake and did the COI covers in Dulpi-color Anodized green.
Did the interior in Greys and Silvers. The seat belts are black ribbon, I don't know why they look Blue in the pic but they do.
Then I put it all together and it was done. Pictures are in the finished forum.
Thanks for looking in. All comments and questions are welcome.
