I have a lot of Jeep spare parts, some from incomplete kits that I bought, some because are left overs from kits I built o used some parts... So I had this idea to build a model using those parts... The model like the title says will be a Willys MB o Ford GPW they are the same... Instead using the Willys chassis, I think to use a Jeepster Commando chassis, little longer like shows the pics. Also from the Jeepster, I will adopt the rear springs and the front axle. I don't any front springs left over for the front end, so I need to come out with some things... The rear axle is a Dana 44, I don't know from where it came from... I also don't have a body, so I think to build it in paper... The windshield and wheels are from a AMT Hogan Heroes Jeep. Here some body parts already done. Thank you for looking!

I used to have a 1942 Ford Jeep, with a 4 cylinder Chevy II engine. I will follow this all the way.

Me too, I drove one for a while, but it was in real bad condition... Made some progress, the rear fenders.

Made other parts, the gear stick and the two for using in in 4x4... The windshield and it's parts. When I will glue it to the windshield frame, it will stay in open position. Thank you for looking!

Seeing how we've had 20 straight days of rain, nothing surprises me anymore about things in Portland.

More progress... Because it is still raining, I will add a boat a this Jeep... Just in case... ;D I didn't had the right size tire for those wheels, nor all 4 matching tires... For the rear tires, I found 3 tires, and after cutting and adding a part for the 3rd tires I was able to have a tire that fit on the wheel. Because the chassis it is longer than the body, the motor and all the components are moved forward than the body. Here the new pedals... About the boat project... Because in a Italian model forum, there is a online boat community building, 99% of those models are military... I'm participating too, just for fun, and because I have a funny boat in mind... My uncle told me about this boat, that were used in the lake close where I grow up in Italy... For create this lake, they build a dam in the 1950-52. Back to the story... In a small town, there were a very poor family, because of the difficult to find food for his son, the housband decided to go fishing in the lake... But he didn't had a boat... So he toke a wardrobe, removed the two doors, and try to sealed it. This odd boat was working very well... Some people start to joking about him and his shape-boat, so he wrote on the back of it "Me Ne Frego" that means "I don't care"... I think this story was interesting for try to replicate this boat... So here we go... All made in paper, after painted in a beige color, and made the dark brown stripes with a thin brush.

Well Brizo...the boat is an appropriate addition to the build. I too like the story of the boat. It's really going to add to the build too.
