Thursday was setup day/night for the 40th Annual Bob Paeth Portland Classic Model Car Contest. Normally on move in we register 70-80 models, when we closed the doors at 10pm there were aprox 150 models already registered. We don't know if we just did a better job of letting people know about move-in day or we can expect 350+ entries over the next couple of days.
The Roadster Show is in the 'D' Exhibit Hall and the Model Contest is in the 'D' Concourse. A quick walk through of the Roadster Show floor on the way out was absolutely amazing. There are some of the Cleanest, Nicest looking Automobiles on that show floor. Should have photos to post Friday Evening.

Day 1 of the Portland Roadster Show and the Bob Paeth Portland Classic is in the books. Without a doubt the best Roadster show in the past decade. Got to spend some time chatting with Gene Winfield and Jimmy Shine. Both are great guys. Chip Foose's autograph session was to go from 2-6pm, he finished at 8:45 what a trooper.
All in all a great day.
Back at it in the morning, 10-10 tomorrow, going to be a long day.

Sounds like a great show. Both of them the scale show and the 1:1 show. I meant Chip Foose at the Seattle Roadster show a couple years ago. He really is a nice guy and loves cars with a passion.
