So as a few of you know i have a 1:1 28/9 sedan in the back yard waiting with its pile of parts well i decided im gonna do a scale one as a test print for the real deal... Started out last weekend doing a cowl swap from talking with fletch and checking out his 28/9 conversions... Not gonna lie, sedan kinda sucks cause getting the doors glued in as i chose to no longer have them be opening proved to be a pain... but i got it, probabaly rivals henry's fit, you know more or less not very good. Got a good starting re scribe of the doors done. Next is to grind off and remake the body line as my super glue fill and file was just a temporary deal to see what it would look like... Pic 2 is a hemi mock up with an old chevy? grill and hood i found in a box, sort of gave it some style and its not too bad for a bonneville shell sort of look... More later Thanks for looking! Chris Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiOh and Fletch, i sent you an email... curious if you had an extra 28/9 grill... i cant come up with one...

The conversion looks fantastic Chris, I can only imagine the amount of work that went into converting the '31 Sedan into a '28/'29 Sedan. The cowl conversion looks great but the thing that impresses me most is the work that you put into changing the beltline from the second generation Model 'A' Sedans to that of the First Generation Model 'A' Sedan.
On my '29 Conversions I've had the advantage of using a Monogram '30 Coupe which didn't have the upper beltline at all. So, all I had to do was add the beltline.
That Hemi and Chevy pickup nose is wild and adds to the character of the sedan.

School and work have been raining on my bloody parade, but after getting my ala-kart reissue off ebay in the mail i found some time last night (about 1am) to try and see if i could get a stance started for working out an appropriate kick up of the rear frame... i need to some wheels and tires but this set up worked for my mock up... Did a super glue tack, channel over the rails... about 4" and lowered the mounts for the grille shell... still needs to be lower and moved back to the proper location but it works for what i needed... I find it a bit odd that everything i keep finding for this thing is either painted or molded in red... Did a quick front bumper mount removal... (using my thumbs and brute force) i think its about right... gonna slam the motor together and see how it looks! Hosted on FotkiThanks Dave for the grille! anyone know of a scale T-5 transmission?

I like it Chris, it's coming together nicely. The stance, channel all look fantastic.
Glad to be of help with the grille surround and to the best of my knowledge the T-5 is available out of the late '90s GMC and Chevy S-10 Pickups and Blazer. I know I've got a couple of the Blazers and possibly the S-10 Pickups as well. Let me know if you're needing one.
