The one thing I thought when I accepted the Challenge of the piece 'Sunset Drag' was how cool would it be to do both cars. While out Christmas shopping Wednesday evening we dropped by the LHS to pick up some Evergreen for the Shadowbox Coupe project Of course it's impossible to just pick up styrene without seeing what's on the shelves. I knew that I was out of '32 Sedans and would have to pick up one in order to build the sedan, of course they had one that was calling my name so I felt sorry for the orphan and brought it home with me. Today was one of those day where you really don't want to work on an existing project so the Sedan kit was opened and the roof dropped. Hosted on FotkiThe chop is a bit more sever then the artwork but not a great deal. The Sedan will most likely end up being a from the box build with a few pieces changed to make it more period correct to match the 5 Window Coupe. The most obvious change will come with the use of Steel wheels on all 4 corners. To keep the Sedan as dark as it is in the background of the piece I plan to use Milani Nail Lacquer called Midnight Satin. The color is such a dark purple that it's almost black. Stay Tuned.

Got the roof split and the pillars realigned and all glued back together. The roof of the Sedan required an additional cut because of the depth of the chop. The rear of the roof behind the 'C' Pillar was aprox .015 to long after the window edges were aligned. The width of a single saw blade was all that was required to correct the problem. Hosted on FotkiI'll get the Evergreen filler pieces added to the gaps in the roof and it and the Coupe should be ready for any additional fill work by the weekend.
