A the Model Expo, and Swap Meet, I bought this truck, a Peterbilt 359... I think its a cool truck... Has a nice shape... And its someting bit to work on! It remember me one of the first 1/25 scale model I build 20 years ago... It Iveco 190 Turbo "Cowboy", they called it cowboy, because had a lot of chrome parts and exhaust behind the body, like the American trucks. I build it without paint it, using superglue, also on the chrome parts... I feel so bad now for it... After that I change it making a racing truck, with the engine in the middle of the chassis... And after trash it... Will se if I'm lucky this time with this truck... The box...

I have no doubt that this will be an interesting build. Keep us posted.

Made some progress in this funny build... First I adopted two "new" seat from a car. I prefer it has the same seats for driver and passenger. The interior it almost done. I kept the old style steering wheels, because I like it better. The stick it is taller now and sitting on wood floor... Inside the sleeper, I build a bed/sofa. I think also to build some other stuff on the corner of it, but before do that, I need to complete the sleeper body.

Finally finshed the engine. I'm not very happy with the color, I thought it was more brilliant... Its the Dupli-Color Orange Mist, but seems more bronze... Probably because the gray primer? What do you think?

I think it looks fine FaBrizio. The Dupli-color Orange Mist is a strange paint to work with. I have a chopped '40 Sedan that is painted with that color and it came out more copper then orange. The base was Dupli-color light Hot Rod Gray Primer with a silver base coat over that and it's no where near the color of the cap.
It may be that the paint is just that translucent, that unless the base coat is pure white it drastically changes color.
I don't think I'd worry to much about it, most of the group will be surprised that you're building a truck in the first place.

You are right Dave the color on the cap is totally different from the reality... But what I can do... I'll keep it!!! Now I want try to use it on a white primer, and see if it will change little bit... Probably will be a little little difference... Will see what came out... Will be a surprise this truck (if I can finish it... I almost trash it, due to some paint problem). I can tell you that it will be little different than the box... I had a "bizzarre" idea for it...

Still problem with it... But now has paint on it, the worse paint job ever, but I'll leave it so, I don't want to deal with the paint anymore...

Still problem with it... But now has paint on it, the worse paint job ever, but I'll leave it so, I don't want to deal with the paint anymore... Sometimes paint is the toughest part of a build. I have no idea how many stalled projects I have that have been stopped by less then cooperative paint. Some silly, stupid thing about living in the Pacific Northwest! I have no doubt that you'll find a way to pull it off and it will be fantastic when completed. Have a safe, sane and Happy New Years.

This morning I spend a few minutes for do the new doors. This because I chopped the roof, so it required smaller doors. As you can see I used my favorite material... Paper from a priority mail envelope... ;D ;D ;D This is the work on the cab made some time ago, the one that caused some trouble with the paint... Slowly slowly it is going together... But I'll don't say too loud...

This is a neat project Brizio....the color on the Motor looks Great to me. Infact....that Motor looks FLAT AWESOME all around. Don't give up on this puppy...and I think Dave might have something there about us living on the UPPER LEFT COAST... at least we don't have it as bad as the guys on the other coast do..... I tell myself that all the time when I have paint drying problems....sometimes it helps.. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it!!! I will not give up with it. A cost to paint it 20 times!!! Except the paint problem, I'm pretty happy with it, because I'm trying some new "stuff" on it, stuff that I was thinking to apply to the models, but never did, so this truck is a good test for some ideas...
