My name is Tom Setzer, and I have been building models of all types for over 50yrs, I'm an old guy! Today I build Model Cars(mostly Rods and sports racers), Slot Cars in 1:32, and 1:24( mostly 1:32nd.). My present projects are a 29 A Roadster Pickup (early 60s style) a 32 Ford two door sedan with a newer style( Discs and coil overs), a 34 Ford closed Pickup(Traditional Rod, waiting for parts from Replicas & Minitures). All of the above will be modified and Kit Bashed, with after market Photo etch, resin, and turned metal parts. I use several different paint mediums, and bot single and dual action Airbrushes. I hope I will be able to contribute some useful information, and also learn from other people on this Forum. CHEERS! Tom
Hey Tom glad to have you here, most of the forum members are from the same club here in Portland. So, we get to see each others builds up close and personal. I would hate to even venture a guess at the amount of time the 30+ club members have. I know the club president and I did a demo back in January. We did some quick math and figured the 2 of us along had over 110 years of modeling behind us. By no means doe we have all the answers and tricks. We look forward to seeing your projects, they sound pretty cool.
