Five of us, Ron, Stan, Norm, Chuck and myself, presented an all day demo at the Oregon State Fair on Sunday August 30th. Stan left us early as he wasn't feeling well. It was a great day with lost of questions, some of which were the normal, "do you build them yourself" type questions others very insightful. It's always interesting to deep in thought about yor next step in a project, look up and realize that there are 20+ people transfixed on your every move. We were in the same location as last year, the cloud cover burned off around 1 in the afternoon, from there on out it was a beautiful day. Hosted on FotkiAugust was a very busy month for several of our members. We presented the hobby at a 5 day demo at the Clackamas County Fair. Two Cruise-ins, one at the Gateway Elks and another at Grace Pointe Community Church. Then to finish the month off the day long presentation at the State Fair. I can't speak for the other members who supported these events but I'm glad the Month of August is over. I miss the State Fair exhibit. I always got lots of building done while I was there with the club. Looks like you had a great location.

I miss the State Fair exhibit. I always got lots of building done while I was there with the club. Looks like you had a great location. The past 2 years they've put us just inside the East Exit of the Building. It is such a better location then when we use to be in the middle of the building it's not even funny. As you know the trick is to be able to build and narrate at the same time. The funny thing is I get about the same amount of work accomplished there in a 11 hour day that I do at home in 24 hours.
