I was just curious why there doesn't seem to be too many participants here on the forums.

Well Greg....it's always been that way. At least as long as I've been coming here. It's mostly the local(oregon) area guys. There's a few that joined that are from different states...but mostly Nord' West folks. The most folks on here that post is about 4-5. I enjoy your's...Brizio's, Dogfish's builds immensely. Oh...Fletch's builds too...(when he posts)...

I was a member of a VW club down in California and there was a forum long before there was even a club or a meeting of any sort. What was cool though, was when we did have our first meeting, it was like everybody already knew each other. It was fun to place a face to the name. We all had a great time together. I'm just surprised that there's only about 4-5 active people here and there was about 25-30 people at last month's meeting. I wonder how many are active on scaleautomag.com or modelcarsmag.com?

I don't know how many are active on S.A. or M.C. forums. I ..myself am active on Scale Auto. I really don't post anything at all on Modelcars site. The IPMS forum is really slow also. In Fact...as much as they say that their trying to encourage car builders to join their ranks...the support of a WIP on the forum is VERY lackluster.
You said that you attended a meeting this month? Is there a club on the coast? Are you going to the Portland Roadster show 20-22 of this month? I'm going to try and make it down on Sunday. If you go...hope to meet you there...

I join the club almost 6 years ago, and since I start to write on this forum, the active member are always a few, some left some new registered. I write in different forums, also not model car related, and in the last 3 or 4 years they all noticed less affluence, one of the reason I think could be facebook, that is like a mall. About of the SABA members, we need to think that some of them does not have a computer.

I do plan on going to the Roadster show and taking a couple of my models.

I just feel like some activity on the forums might spark some more involvement and a community-like feel. I'm sure there's quite a few peeps that come onto the forums, take a look around, and probably exit. It'd just be nice if we could get some more participation and some enthusiasm in here.
