While digging thru some old "reference pictures" the other day, I came across these pictures, which were sent to me several years ago by the former track owner's son (Don Peck Jr.) Rocket Speedway was located in Pilot Rock, Oregon, and operated during the mid 1960's......... Here are some pictures of the "Hardtops" (also were raced as "B" Modifieds at some tracks)..... ......................................... ......................................... ......................................... ........................................ This car (#65, RED PERKINS of Washington State) was one of the "hardest to beat" in the early days........ This class consisted of several "scratch built/low budget" racecars, plus, several old "Supers" that were "down-classed" to run in this class........... DJ
