Well I drew the red white and blue 32 3 window... actually Richard did but we traded as i was glad to trade off the woody PT... So thank you Richard! Um talked to Mr Watson a bit and he said at the time of conception of this sketch he didnt have the new revell version at the time. He likes the old monogram kit and luckily i was able to nab one at the swapmeet! He told me a few tricks about that kit for which im very thankful for and he is also supposed to send me the appropriate dirt track tires that are on the back...
This build is not completely my flavor but its simple and cool enough that i wont really be able to blow it into a scratch build engineering fiasco like i usually seem my self doing. Chopped 32 3 window, red torq thrusts smoothed firewall blown BBC with 3 carbs and small carb caps. Gotta find a usable 1/24 BBC and blower with good detail cause thats kinda the focal point of these bread and butter type 32's. I like the kit axle a lot, but may have to source a chrome one and some finned drums... The only other points of concern for me are how to do the headlight/ shock mounts and what to with the rear of the body. Cut the gas tank off cause it was in my way but may put it back relocated a bit lower but i was thinking about a roll pan ish deal with a license plate box...
WHICH BRINGS ME TO A QUESTION OR TWO!!!
Fletch, how about a commemorative license plate for these builds, like a JWAT11 or a JAIRUS or something tying them together? Or perhaps something like those Paeth ones that were done...
And also i was wondering if there are electronic files of good pixel density that i could print another copy of the art work?
Sorry to be long winded, its late and im super tired and flustered... Back to school tomorrow! DOH!
Any Way in closing im just gonna try and do a super clean build not too many frills some medium duty engine wiring and plumbing and lay it down in honor of a super guy.
