Several months ago I found these 3 photos of this chopped and channeled '32 Pickup. They've been in my "Future Build" folder waiting for it's turn on the bench. With the paint issues on the Black '32 Ford Pickup, it hit the bench a bit sooner then expected. The preliminary bodywork on the cab, bed and fenders has been completed. The modifications for the grille surround and hoodsides still need to be started. Tires and wheels so far are Monogram '41 Lincoln with the center from the Revell '32 5 Window Coupe for the rear. Front are from the Revell '29 Pickup. No idea what will go under the hood, perhaps the SBC from the AMT '34 Ford 5 Window Coupe. Stay Tuned...........

I ordered up a couple of chopped '32 grilles from Model Car Garage (MCG) to use for the build. When they arrived I quickly discovered that as nice as they are, they were designed to work with AMT '32 hoods not Revell. So the Revell grille surround was sectioned to get the right height for the build. Extensions have been added to the rear of the bed to allow the installation of the '51 Chevy taillights. The floor of the cab needs to be glued to the chassis to hold the cab in place so that the grille surround doesn't push it back. A saw cut is still needed just above the rib on the hood to get everything to sit properly. The hood sides have yet to be touched to get the proper profile. Hosted on FotkiStay tuned.......
