I stumbled on the SABA forum the other week. How did I ignore it for so long? Many SABA members are among the builders I admire most and have looked to for inspiration since I got back into the hobby about 4 1/2 years ago after many decades away. I've even attended a couple of PNW Model Car Fests although I've missed the last two (shame on me...). It only seems logical to establish some sort of PNW forum presence, so how about the one that features some of my favorite modelers?
Both as a young builder and now, after my recent return, I have built automobiles exclusively, and mainly traditional hot rods and customs, although those are far from my only automotive interests. Currently I build in these styles primarily because they play to my strengths as I gradually improve my modeling chops. I'm fairly prolific and almost always have a project nearing completion. I'm pretty much a "serial builder" and rarely have more than one active project, although, like many, my to-do list is impossibly long. And for me, the grass is definitely greener on the other side - I dream of the day I have the skills to build a detailed modern F1 car, vintage classic or showroom stock sedan...
Some of you might know me from the model car forums where I'm active (TRaK, MCM, SA, etc.), and, as I say, several of you are modelers whose work I'm familiar with and admire greatly. I look forward to establishing a PNW connection!
