OK....here's an update. The body is in the two tone paint scheme..Purple/white. The Hood has been stripped because the second color didn't really co-operate and I really didn't like the way it looked..... To much purple. I will probably shoot the white on it (the hood) in the next few days. The headers are finished and in the pics are just mocked up for test fitting....the same for the side bars also. I will make the Decals for this puppy this weekend and this car should be finished real soon. Here are a few pics to see the progress...Thanks for looking in folks...( click to enlarge)

Hey Dave...thank you for the Compliment. Getting meaningful comments from folks is inspirational to a builder...specially on a VERY long build such as this little guy.
Very nice. Will it be at the Puyallup Elks Show? It should be finished for that show Buck....It will be there..baring the Creek don't Rise and the Fox didn't get into the Hen House...

Thank you folks for the kind words and support through this long winded build. Doing a detailed 1/43 modified sure showed me it's not as simple as one might think. I've really enjoyed doing this one as it's been a great challenge.
This car is Finished.. I got the headers painted and installed...Decals made and applied...windshield in and all the nerf bars on. Here's a few finished pics of the 36 ford Asphalt modified....( click to enlarge)

You my friend are totally insane. The amount of detail on this build is beyond what most of us would consider doable for a 1/25th scale build, but to have this level of detail on a 1/43rd scale build is insane. Amazing, totally amazing.

Ditto what Fletch said. That is an awesome looking model. The detail makes it look like it would crank and run.

Thanks Buck and Brizio...

Amazing, totally amazing. LOL...I hear ya on the "insane " part. Well...as it was..I had planned on doing the trailer and Truck for this modified.. right? The car just barely fits on the trailer...in the 1/1 world we'd put street wheels & tires on the front to load it on the trailer as they where too wide to fit... well guess what? I don't think I'm going to have this as a Race team like planned. I do have an AMT 70 Stang That I can make into a short Track car and it will fit. I wont super detail that one. It will just be a RACE TEAM type build. Any how...thanks for looking in folks.

My appologies Gary! She turned out way beyond my imagination as well! Simply Incredible!! Trying to catch up on a few forums, now that Spring Projects are winding down. Also in the process of retireing. Kind of scarey

Thank you folks for the Nice compliments.
I'm debating on finishing up on the 43rd team idea...or finish up the two or three builds I've got started(not like me either... ) I've got a 29 roadster on the chassis jig right now, that I want to do for the AMBR. But...I really thought about finishing up the 1/18 super Modified that I had to stop on(lack of body paint) a few yrs back.
