I thought I would share this with everyone. One of the members at my forum posted it. I have never heard of this product, but it looks better than Alcad when finished. The video is about 7 minutes long well worth the time. I tried to do the You Tube link but it put an ad up that would not go away, so it's a link. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBN6m92ve1Y

Some guys are using it in some models and it looks good. But I never see it in the real.

There was a guy who posted on MCM last year about Kosutte Ginsan. He used a plastic spoon to show how chrome it looked, and it was amazing. The one thing that was obvious is that it is a different chrome then kit chrome. The upside is that most kit chrome is way to bright and this stuff is darker but sure looks more realistic.
That in mind the downside to using it would be cross mixing kit chrome and parts chromed with Kosutte Ginsan. The other problem with it is that there was no US importer and until recently getting it through HobbyLInk Japan was impossible as well. Apparently, Kosutte Ginsan is back in production. When I checked last year it was listed at around $25 US dollars including shipping.
Could be worth the expense, it would be a great seminar at the NNL.
Just checked the HobbyLink Japan site and wouldn't you know it Kosutte Ginsan is on back order. Go figure.

I have a member that posted this. He said in his post he ordered some from Japan. I will try to find out where and post it here. I thought you guys might already be familiar with the product. You seem to up on the hobby.

I got this reply from Jeff Johnson about where he ordered this stuff. I bought it from Hobby Search (Japan) They call it "silver looking maker" (that actually made me chuckle when I read it) www.1999.co.jp/eng/10011510

Jeff Johnson just posted this on my forum. Thought I would update it here. This is what Jeff said.
FYI to buck and everyone an update on this "stuff".
First, I ordered it on Monday, I received the pay pal request from them on Tuesday, I and received it on Friday... From Japan ! That's 4 days from the time I paid until it was on my doorstep in NH...from Japan... Talk about fast service.
Secondly...I tried it on a stripped bumper. I painted the bumper Tamiya silver leaf, and an hour later used this stuff on it....and it works. Its crazy... the stuff is unbelievable.
I think it might be tough to do grills or non smooth surfaces. but for bumpers and other parts I have to say its the coolest thing I've found in the hobby in years.
