No Gary, this Jeep was used by the US Navy, on the aircraft carrier. On the pic you can see what I'm trying to replicate, or at least give you an idea, because the Jeep I'm doing has some different thinks, was an earlier model. I need to say that it is a not common Jeep... The paint is Testor, I don't remember the name I trashed the can...

Man Brizio....what a cool subject. Knowing what it is used for really helps me see why it was the color you used...it's a safety thing....Especially on a carrier... Sooo...the paint is testors spray?...I think I've got that color. I like it. It would look good on a racecar...ya know? LOL...

Yep, drove by the "green people"... I'll google the testor color for find the exact name , I have bad memory for names, above all colors name... Also because I buy color for what I see, not for the name they have... ;D ;D ;D I got a chance today to assemble all the parts that I made before, and I think it is done... I open a post on the other section for it...

That's true. They are hard to come by. I have a P-51 Mustang to build yet for a Dio.

Didn't a kit of a Corsair come in 24th? Or is that the wrong time period? What time period is(or was) the jeep used in?

What time period is(or was) the jeep used in?I'm not a airplane guy, but I think that the Corsair is too earlier for the era, those Jeeps were used in the 50's, and some early 60's. On the USS Oriskany they had F2H-2 Banshee, but I think they don't make it in 1/24, and if it exist, it would be out of my budget. The only things i can do, could be to reproduce part of the USS Oriskany, like the fly deck and part of the turret, and try to represent the jeep in a parking position. This also could be very manageable for the dimension of it.

I've got a 1/24th scale P-51 Mustang that I bought a few years back to use the drop tanks for a streamliner but the tanks on a P-51 are to small. Let me know and I'll see if I can find when I get home and I'll bring it to the meeting Sunday night.

Man...a P-51? That would be way too cool. That is my favorite WWII plane. Hey Brizio...maybe you could make the top Deck of the ship and put both the plane and jeep on it. The box size to carry it to the shows....HUGE!!! ;D( at least a two person carry...ya know?)
