Here one of the last progress... Now it need some detail works to be finish. The pedals and stick gear... Brake line done, this is on the rear, also you can see the trans lever. Here another fitting test... I painted it in white, but adding a little bit of yellow... I think looks better than pure white... And here what I'm working on... Finally the engine... Need some to be completed, but it is almost done...

I really like this build. Talk about one of kind. How do you put the wire together? Is it solder, epoxy, super glue?

Thanks! I though to solder all the parts, but it was to warm on the garage, so I used super glue... Probably not the best thing to do, but it works.

I had some fun this morning scratch building some stuff... The first was a gas tank, on the kit is not included. And a battery... Here the gas tank in place, with a brake fluid tank. Also add the front light (without lens) and wire them. This is the battery in place... The steering wheels is not very good, you can see it require a lot of cleaning from the mold... So I look on my spare parts, and found this one. IIRC it is from a 1/32 Impala... The diameter is the same, and looks more better. So I will use it. And almost done with the engine... It need only the exhaust pipe...

Thank you Vance! I'm pretty close to finish this one! Today I finish the new "seats"... I made them like the outdoor furniture, I think those looks better on a wrought iron VW... Painted in the same color of the body... And finally glued on the interior... I modified a little bit the rear bench. Here I add a kind of pillow... It will add more comfort...

I hate to see this one end. I have enjoyed this build a lot. I use quite a bit of craft wire on my builds. Super glue seems to work fine on 95% of it. I have some that super glue won't stick to. Thanks for the fast reply.

Me to I enjoyed do this build, completely different that the one I'm used to build, and also with this material... Now I'll go to take some pics of it... So later I will open a post on the "shelf" area... I washed the wire with some thinner before glue it, seems to clean the wire better and give it some more grip. The best would be sand the wire with sand paper, but it will take forever!!! ;D and also a the end I pass a cigarette lighter on the glue-wire. Just a fast pass because the glue can open up and take fire.
