I was looking a the body, and some pics from 1/1 Alfas, and something was different... Until I tried the body-firewall-chassis... Watch this pics... And now watch the real car... (this is the Touring model, it has the same body of the one I'm building, the only difference is the wing on the back and two spare tires. The air vent on the real car are much closer to the door than the model I have. So, I'm thinking to cut the body... This also will help to have the firewall in the correct position. Now it stay under the cockpit, instead to in front of it.

It does look like the vents are centered between the edge of the cowl and the front of the door, but weren't these cars hand built? If they were hand built then there is a very good chance that each car would be a bit different then the one built before or after it.
That is always one of the issues when it comes to building a model that is based on a specific car. Even though there are similarities between all the cars built of that design each one is going to be slightly different.
No matter what my friend, it will be a masterpiece by the time you have it completed.

I agree with Fletch on all counts. I just wanted to add a post so you would know I am watching this one. Learning what I can.

You are right! Those cars were hand built, and when the Alfa Romeo retired from the race, gave 10 cars to Ferrari. The Scuderia Ferrari, modified all of those cars, and they say that each car is different, and unfortunately there are no many pics. All the pics I have shown the same, the vents are close to the doors, and the cockpit are short... And also, the door part close to the vent, go down straight, in the model the door are rounded... Also the back part has a opening so the spare tire are lower... Too many things to fix... Now I know why all the people prefer the Monza version!!! ;D Fortunately I have two bodys, so I'm thinking to go for it and cut it and try to move it back, also try to fix the door and the rear... All this in the yellowish body, if all goes wrong, I can use the red one...

They almost look like two different bodies, the model baody has more of a curved front edge and the real car pic looks a lot straighter, no curve at all.

The body is the same, need some modification... Like removing the side stripe. Here the body without the front part.

Back on this model, I completed the springs, but I can't attach them to the chassis because is missing two little parts... I'm looking if I can find them someplace, if not I will probably build them... Here the springs...

The springs look great. Hope you find your parts. It's much easier than building them.

Thank you! I think for now to build it as a "chassis display", and in a second time build the rest of the body.
