Guess it's time to start building the Model Contests and Shows for 2013. If there are any shows in the PNW that you know of that missed please bring them to my attention and I'll add them to the list.
January 5th - Winter Rod and Speed Show, Linn County Fair & Expo Center, Albany, Oregon
February 24th - 18th Annual Performance Modeling Club Show and Swap Meet, Mt. Vernon, Washington
March 9th - Lt. Alexander Pearson Modelers, Artillery Barracks, Ft Vancouver , Vancouver, Washington
March 15th-17th - Bob Paeth Portland Classic Model Car Contest, Portland Expo Center, Portland, Oregon

I added several shows to the list of the shows in the PNW. We are now up to a dozen event for the year. I know there are at least a half dozen more in the works but I don't have firm dates for.
I will also add the IPMS National Contest to the list. For 2013 it will be held in Loveland Colorado. I for one plan on attending, not only because it will be the closest National contests since became Region 7 Coordinator but it will allow me the chance to visit the daughter and grandson.
If there are shows/contests etc that you're aware of that I haven't included on the list please post then in the topic or PM the information to me.

Thanks again Dave for posting these show dates. We are going to do the FALL NATIONALS but are discussing on using a different location this yr. I'll keep you posted...

Added the date for the LAMA Spring Classic Show & Shine at the Coburg Grange in Coburg, OR. Their date for the show is Saturday April 13th the show times are 9am-4pm.

Just added the Lt Alexander Pearson Modelers event at the Pearson Air Museum on March 9th. This is an IPMS event, it's not on the IPMS calendar as of this evening, but should be there in the next day or so.
With tonight's addition we still have 13 events in the PNW and to the best of my knowledge there are at least 4 more events that don't have a date set for them.

It appears that the Lt. Alexander Pearson Modelers show on March 9th will most not happen. It seems that the Non-Profit operating the museum and the National Parks Service have been in negation for the past several months. The negations broke down last month. The Park Service notified the Non-Profit yesterday that they had to vacate the building by midnight on February 6th. The museum staff and volunteers were removing all the displays this evening and moving all of them to another hanger for storage.
The National Park Service has indicated that the building will be operated as a museum. However, there has been no indication what kind of museum will occupy the building or when it may open.
I'll leave the event on the calendar for the next few days until I find out from the Pearson Group if the even will still take place and where is may be held.

I just got off the Phone with Shelly and she gave me the Date for the P.S.A.M.A. Model Car Sunday Show. It's still going on at the Puyallup Elks this year. Don't know about next year though. It's added to the list...

The Lakewood Fall Nationals date has been set and it's posted. Same Location but the times have been changed. I'll post a flyer a little later as it still needs to be loaded into Photobucket.
As of today...the LAKEWOOD FALL NATIONALS has been cancelled. This is due in part to the Elks club raising the Building Rent to almost DOUBLE of what it was last yr. Maybe We can find a new place to have the show next year..we'll keep everyone posted if there are any changes....
